Pardon my French

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
– Jeremiah 29:11

First of all, I want to say thank you so much for all of your love and support through my fundraising journey. I have learned so much about the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness.

A few weeks ago I learned that my supervisor in Brussels was stepping down from Young Life. Through lots of prayer and conversations, the sending team and I decided that Brussels is not the best option for me. One of the purposes and goals of my first three years on staff is development and training, working under an experienced staff person. With these goals, and my passion for the French language in mind, I have been relocated to an established Young Life ministry in Grenoble, France.

I am so excited for this new opportunity to spread the Gospel in France. Like in Brussels, I will still be working with international school students. In France, less than half of the population attends church regularly, and ⅓ of Frenchman and ⅔ of youth say that they do not belong to any religion at all. Grenoble is a smaller city, located just outside of the French Alps. It is home to many internationals, after Paris, it has the second highest expat community.

No matter where in the world I move, I trust the Lord’s plan for my life. Throughout this process, I have been able to rest in his faithfulness. He has given me a sense of peace that I never expected. This has been a difficult time, but spiritually, I have never felt the Lord’s presence as much as I do now.

I also wanted to give you a quick update on where I am in the fundraising process. I currently have over 80% of my support raised. I have about $880 left of monthly support left to raise, which means about 18 people committing to $50 a month! We are almost there!

I would love to share more with you, and answer any additional questions you may have.

Thank you so much for your love and support throughout this journey!

Love Always,

Liv
